Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones this website uses, why we use them, how long they last and how you can change your choice at any time.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage — work in the same way. They allow a site to remember your actions and preferences between pages and visits. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function; others are optional and only set with your consent.
Our lawful basis
We rely on the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interests because the site cannot work without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set where you have given consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting your use of the site.
Categories we use
- Essential (always on) — required for security, page delivery and to remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics (consent required) — aggregated, non-identifying statistics on which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it.
- Marketing (consent required) — measures whether a campaign led to an enquiry. Not currently active on this website.
Cookies currently set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| amworth.cookie.prefs | Essential | Stores your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit. | Until you clear it or reset your preferences |
No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set at present. If we introduce any, this table will be updated with the provider, purpose and retention period before they are used, and your consent will be requested again.
Third parties
We do not embed third-party advertising or social tracking pixels. Where a page links to an external site, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy, and we have no control over them.
Managing or withdrawing consent
Use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer at any time to review your choice, switch individual categories on or off, or reset your stored preference entirely. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers allow this under Privacy or Security. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Do Not Track and global privacy signals
Because we set no tracking cookies without consent, your browsing here is not tracked by default, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Changes and contact
We review this policy whenever the technologies used on the site change, and at least annually. If you have a question about cookies or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us through the enquiry form and mark your message for the attention of the data protection contact. Further detail on how we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
